Tips for winning Card King

OVERVIEW

The objective of Card King is to tally the highest score possible.  When you start a new game, you’ll be dealt five cards, at random, from a standard 52-card deck.  Your first task is to select one of these five cards (choosing the highest or lowest card will make for an easier start).  Once you’ve made your choice, the game is off and running.

You’ll score your first points by correctly guessing whether the next card dealt is higher or lower than the card you started with.  If you guess correctly, you’ll be dealt another card and you’ll then guess whether the next card is higher or lower than that card.  Repeat until your straight of cards is “busted” by a wrong guess.  On the way, there are a variety of hints, Sidekicks, and “lifelines” you can employ to extend your straight and maximize your score.

ENTRY COST AND PLAY LIMITS

Each day you may play two games free, plus up to 13 additional games for TCredits or EZ Express tokens, as follows:

  • Game 1 = free
  • Game 2 = free
  • Game 3 = 1 TCredit
  • Game 4 = 1 TCredit
  • Game 5 = 1 TCredit
  • Game 6 = 1 TCredit
  • Game 7 = 2 TCredits
  • Game 8 = 2 TCredits
  • Game 9 = 2 TCredits
  • Game 10 = 3 TCredits
  • Game 11 = 3 TCredits
  • Game 12 = 3 TCredits
  • Game 13 = 1 EZ Express
  • Game 14 = 1 EZ Express
  • Game 15 = 1 EZ Express

PLAY/WIN LIMIT

You may play a maximum of 15 times each day.

WINNING THE ZACKPOT

To win one on more shares of the daily Card King Zackpot, you must post one of the 100 highest scores of the day.  Those posting a top 10 score will receive 5 shares each of the Zackpot.  All others will receive 1 share of the Zackpot.  Note:  In the case of a tie, the least time between the start and finish of the game will be the tiebreaker.

TIME LIMIT

For each Feature Card you are dealt, you have a maximum of two minutes to decide whether to guess higher, lower, or pass.  When there are 20 seconds left, your remaining time will be displayed immediately above the Feature Card.  Have sound set to on to also receive a audio cue when you’re down to the final 20 seconds.

HINT CARDS

When the game starts, you’re dealt five cards at random (nearly 10% of the 52 cards).  These cards are valuable because they let you know which cards are already out and can help you make smart choices when deciding to guess higher, lower, or to pass.

PEEKS

Three free Peeks are provided each game (see Peek button on right side of Feature Card).  Peeks will literally count the cards for you and let you know how many cards are left in the deck that are higher and lower than the Feature Card.  This is valuable information that can help you navigate some of the tougher choices, so use your Peeks wisely.

PASSES

You are allowed to pass on up to three cards per game (see Pass button on right side of Feature Card).  You can pass on any card, but you’re best served to use them when the odds of successfully choosing the next card correctly are low.  Note that no points are scored when passing.  The first and second pass costs 1 TCredit each.  The third and final pass costs 2 TCredits.

DUPLICATE CARD BONUS

The Duplicate Card Bonus is for players who have used at least one TCredit in a game.  Here’s how it works: If you guess higher or lower but instead are dealt the same card as the Feature Card, not only do you earn the points of your guess, but you get to spin for a bonus prize!  Prizes include MRP (Member Rewards Points), TCredits, EZ Express tokens, and Card King Bonus Points (which are added to your current game’s score).  Additional prizes are available for SFI affiliates.

The spin wheel will automatically appear when you are dealt a duplicate card.  If you win a prize with your spin, it will immediately be added to your account.  Note: If you are dealt the King four times in a row, you will win the King’s Ransom (see below) instead of a Bonus Prize Spin.

KING’S RANSOM

The King’s Ransom represents a a special secondary Zackpot (though it has the potential to get large).  It starts at 100 TCredits, but grows until someone wins it. You’ll win the King’s Ransom automatically any time you are dealt all four Kings in a row, in any game where a TCredit has been spent (NOTE: TCredit must be spent prior to being dealt any kings).  The TCredits prize will immediately be added to your account, it is then reset to 100 TCredits and starts growing again until the next person is dealt four Kings in a row.

INTERMISSION SCREEN

On the screen that is displayed between cards being dealt, there are two important pieces of information provided.  First, it tells you how much farther you need to extend your straight in order to earn valuable Bonus Points.  Secondly, it tells you how many other Card King scores today your current score has topped and the rank of your current score.  Remember, to earn one or more shares of the daily Card King Zackpot, you need to finish with one of the 100 highest scores of the day.

CARD VALUES

Which card is considered higher or lower?  Following are the values used for Card King:

  • Ace = 1
  • Two = 2
  • Three = 3
  • Four = 4
  • Five = 5
  • Six = 6
  • Seven = 7
  • Eight = 8
  • Nine = 9
  • Ten = 10
  • Jack = 11
  • Queen 12
  • King = 13

STANDARD SCORING

Each time you successfully guess whether a card is higher or lower, you’ll earn the points as shown on the Higher or Lower buttons, ranging from 40 points to 240 points.  The amount of points reflect the odds based on a full 52-card deck.  Example:  If your Feature Card is a Jack, the odds of being dealt a higher card are much, much lower than being dealt a card lower than the Jack.  The lower the odds of success, the more points you’ll earn…and visa versa.  However,  remember to keep in mind that these point values are based on a FULL deck, so be sure to factor in the cards out of the deck (shown on the black panel) when deciding whether to guess higher or lower.

BONUS SCORING

If you are able to put together a straight of at least 7 cards, you will earn Bonus Points as follows:

  • 7 card straight = 200 Bonus Points
  • 9 card straight = 250 Bonus Points
  • 12 card straight = 325 Bonus Points
  • 15 card straight = 425 Bonus Points
  • 20 card straight = 600 Bonus Points

THE JOKERS

Card King enjoys the presence of a two Jokers.  One is nice…and one is naughty!  The nice joker will pop up from time to time and will help you when you need him most.  The naughty joker, on the other hand, likes to play mean tricks on people, so beware.

REWARDICALS

For each TCredit spent playing Card King, you’ll earn 10 Rewardicals, redeemable for free Bitcoin, gift cards, silver bullion, and more! If you’re an SFI Affiliate, you can also exchange your Rewardicals for unlimited VersaPoints, PSAs, CSAs, and PRMs!

SIDEKICKS

Sidekicks, located in the panel just below the Card King playing board, are little optional “mini-games” you can play while playing Card King to earn additional points.  Following are the 5 available Sidekicks:

1. Predict if you will break your personal best score to earn 50 Bonus Points

  • Cost: FREE
  • Limit: Once per game
  • Must enter prior to fifth dealt card

2. Predict what your straight will be at when you bust to earn 150 Bonus Points

  • Cost: 1 TCredit
  • Limit: Once per game
  • Must enter prior to second dealt card

3. Predict how many Kings you will be dealt to earn 150 Bonus Points

  • Cost: 1 TCredit
  • Limit: Once per game
  • Must enter prior to second dealt card

4. Predict the color (red or black) of the next card to earn 300 Bonus Points.

  • Cost: 1 TCredit
  • Limit: Once per game
  • Must enter prior to clicking Higher or Lower button (use on any round)

5. Predict that the next card is a face card to double (2x) your points for this round.

  • Cost: 1 TCredit
  • Limit: Once per game
  • Must enter prior to clicking Higher or Lower button (use on any round)

MISCELLANEOUS TIPS

1. Be sure to try Card King with the sounds effects ON to really bring the game to life.  You’ll find the on/off button on Card King’s homepage and on the gold sidebar during play.

2. On the screen between cards being dealt, you can press the “Enter” or “Return” key on your computer’s keyboard to proceed (you don’t have to click on the “Deal next card” button if you don’t want to).

3. On the game start screen, we feature the avatars of today’s top players.  But if you haven’t yet created and uploaded your avatar, you won’t get to be featured.  Go HERE to create and upload yours.

4. Almost every element on the playing board has a tooltip.  Hover your mouse over elements to see the clarifying tooltips info.

5. The tiebreaker if your score is tied with another is the time from when you start the game until your straight is busted.  So while you don’t want to rush your decisions, don’t waste time either.

6. Sidekick #4 is a great way to help post a big, Zackpot-winning score.  You have a 50/50 chance of getting it right, but the real key is to use it when there are big points at stake, so that you may quadruple (4x) those points.

7. Sidekick #1 is free and should always be used on every game.

BADGES

badge-ck_stack-21. A Card King game entry earns you the “In it to win it!” badge. Play at least once each day to keep this badge.  Note that once you’ve earned the WINNER badge, you’ll no longer see this badge.

2. Finishing a day with one of the 100 highest score earns you the WINNER badge (or an upgraded “X-Times Winner” version of the badge). Add bronze trim with 3 top score finishes. Add silver trim with 7 top score finishes. Add gold trim with 12 top score finishes.

3. Achieving the highest score for the previous day earns you the “Yesterday’s High Score” badge (expires in 24 hours).

4. Achieving the highest score during the previous 10 days earns you the “High Score (10 Day)” badge (expires in 10 days or when another player achieves a higher score–whichever comes first)

5. Achieving the highest score during the previous 30 days earns you the “High Score (30 Day)” badge (expires in 30 days or when another player achieves a higher score–whichever comes first)

6. Achieving the highest score during the previous 60 days earns you the “High Score (60 Day)” badge (expires in 60 days or when another player achieves a higher score–whichever comes first)

7. Achieving the highest score during the previous 90 days earns you the “High Score (90 Day)” badge (expires in 90 days or when another player achieves a higher score–whichever comes first)

8. Achieving the highest score all-time earns you the “High Score (all-time)” badge (expires if and when another player achieves a higher score).

9. There is also a Card King Leaderboard badge available for all-time highest scores. The minimum leaderboard rank to receive a Card King Leaderboard badge is 500. Add bronze trim by achieving a top 200 rank. Add silver trim by achieving a top 50 rank. Add gold trim by achieving a top 10 rank.  You can view the Card King Leaderboard HERE.  Note: So that all players have the opportunity to reach the top of the leaderboard, Prize Points won are reduced by 50% every 30 days. Example: You scored 400 points today.  30 days from now, those points are now worth 200 points. 60 days from now, those points are now worth 100 points. 90 days from now, those points are now worth 50 points.  And so on.  Keep playing to maintain your leaderboard position!

Tips for winning Gold Streak

h-goldstreak-2OVERVIEW

In Gold Streak, your objective is to correctly guess the most and least popular answers to survey questions.  Build the longest streaks of correctly-answered questions to earn cool badges, bragging rights, and compete for the top spots on the Gold Streak leaderboards.

Play free twice daily, and more games for as little as one TCredit. No purchase necessary to win.

Enter to play Gold Streak at:

http://www.tripleclicks.com/games/GoldStreak.php

You can also play Gold Streak in conjunction with our broader “Streakasphere” contest where you can compete for the longest day-to-day streak.  Details on Streakasphere below.

ENTRY COST AND PLAY LIMITS

Each day you may play two games free, plus up to 13 additional games for TCredits or EZ Express tokens, as follows:

  • Game 1 = free
  • Game 2 = free
  • Game 3 = 1 TCredit
  • Game 4 = 1 TCredit
  • Game 5 = 1 TCredit
  • Game 6 = 1 TCredit
  • Game 7 = 2 TCredits
  • Game 8 = 2 TCredits
  • Game 9 = 2 TCredits
  • Game 10 = 3 TCredits
  • Game 11 = 3 TCredits
  • Game 12 = 3 TCredits
  • Game 13 = 1 EZ Express
  • Game 14 = 1 EZ Express
  • Game 15 = 1 EZ Express

PLAY/WIN LIMIT

You may play a maximum of 15 times each day. Players are also limited to a maximum of 5 wins per day (a win is defined as achieving the longest streak of the day).

ROUNDS

There are three rounds of questions. Each time you guess the correct answer, your streak will advance by one and your stack of “gold coins” on the right will get grow taller.

In the first (“bronze”) round, you will be presented with five randomly-chosen survey questions.  For each question, your objective is to guess which of two answers was the most popular.

In the second (“silver”) round, you will be presented with another five randomly-chosen survey questions.  In this round, for each question, your objective is to guess which of three answers was the least popular.

In the third and final “gold” round, the number of questions you can answer is infinite.  That is, the system will keep feeding you new questions and your streak will keep growing as long as you keep guessing the correct answer.  In this round, for each question, your objective is to guess which of four answers was EITHER the most or least popular (as specified for each question).

Remember, as this is VERY important…you will choose the most popular answers in the first round and the least popular answers in the second round.  And in the third round, you will get a mix of questions–some requiring that you choose the most popular answer…and some requiring the least popular answer, so be sure to keep your focus!

DEADLINES

  • For questions in the first (bronze) round, you have 5 minutes to answer
  • For questions in the second (silver) round, you have 4 minutes to answer
  • For questions in the third (gold) round, you have 3 minutes to answer

When the clock is down to 30 seconds, a chime will sound–provided you have sound enabled–to let you know you need to answer soon.

Note: Since the timer on your computer may be off slightly from our official timer due to latency, always try to answer with at least 10 seconds remaining on the clock.

PASS!

At any time during the game, if you don’t think you know the answer, you can pass on a question.  You can pass up to three times total each game.  All passes add to your streak (and also earn you MRP and Poll Points).  The cost to use your first pass is 1 TCredit.  The cost to use your second pass is 3 TCredits.  The cost to use your third and final pass is 5 TCredits.

GRAB SOME HELP

If you need help with an answer, open a second window in your browser and use a search engine like Google or Yahoo.  By searching on one or more of the keywords in the question and/or answers, you may be able to find information that will help you choose the correct answer.

BRAIN TIP

When you encounter the questions that ask you to pick the LEAST popular answer, it can really mess with your head!  But here’s an easy way to deal with it:  Just modify the question in your mind to make it read the opposite way.  For example, if the question is, “What’s the ugliest animal?”…change it in your mind to “What’s the cutest animal?”  Reading it this way out loud will also help.  Using these tricks, it’s MUCH easier to choose the correct answer.

REACH THE STREAKASPHERE!

Achieving the longest streaks each day is fun and challenging, but that’s just the beginning of Eager Zebra “streak fun”  Each day, if you “reach the Streakasphere” in Gold Streak, you’ll extend your broader, day-to-day streak.  That is, you can build a 10-day streak, a 30-day streak, a 90-day streak, or even longer!

So what exactly does it take to “reach the Streakasphere?”  The Streakasphere is defined as the average Gold Streak streak for the last ten days (rounded down to the closest whole number).  So if for the last ten days the average streak achieved in Gold Streak for EVERY player, for every game, was 7.4, then to get credited with reaching the Streakasphere today, you’ll need to achieve a streak of at least SEVEN.

To trumpet your streak prowess, there are several Streakasphere Streak badges (see BADGES section below for more information).

Note: There is a maximum of 12 plays of Gold Streak per day, so if your objective is to extend your Streakasphere streak, make sure you reach the Streakasphere within 12 plays!

POLL POINTS

Just as Trivia Points are awarded for correctly answering Knockout Trivia questions, in Gold Streak you’ll earn Poll Points for each correctly answered survey (poll) question.

  • Earn 5 points for each question answered correctly in the first (bronze) round
  • Earn 8 points for each question answered correctly in the second (silver) round
  • Earn 12 points for each question answered correctly in the third (gold) round

Your total cumulative number of Poll Points you’ve earned are recorded on the Poll Points Leaderboard…and badges, based on your Leaderboard rank, can be attained (see BADGES section below for more information).

Note: So that everyone can compete equally, Poll Points you’ve earned are halved every 30 days.

REWARDICAL

Each TCredit spent playing Gold Streak earns you 10 Rewardicals, redeemable for free Bitcoin, gift cards, silver bullion, and more! If you’re an SFI Affiliate, you can also exchange your Rewardicals for unlimited VersaPoints, PSAs, CSAs, and PRMs!

STATUS FEEDBACK

In the sidebar on the left side, starting with your second question, you will see, “XX players today have equalled or exceeded your current streak.”  This little bit of information is valuable because it helps you gauge how close you are to posting a top streak for the day.  A very large number probably means you’re not going to qualify (i.e. there are MANY who have achieved a longer streak than you today).  Conversely, a small number may indicate your streak will qualify as one of the longest of the day.  That said, keep in mind that it’s relative because it can only provide you with feedback for games that have been completed so far today; it cannot be definitive until the last game has been played for the day.

LEADERBOARDS

The Streaks Leaderboard provides rankings for:

  • Longest single-game Gold Streak streak (all-time, today, last 30/60/90 days)
  • Longest Streakasphere streak (current and all-time)

The Poll Points Leaderboard provides rankings for:

  • Most Poll Points

Note: So that all players have the opportunity to reach the top of the leaderboard, Prize Points won are reduced by 50% every 30 days. Example: You scored 400 points today.  30 days from now, those points are now worth 200 points. 60 days from now, those points are now worth 100 points. 90 days from now, those points are now worth 50 points.  And so on.  Keep playing to maintain your leaderboard position!

Being amongst the top spots on the Streaks Leaderboard and Poll Points Leaderboard also earns you badges (see following BADGES section for more information).

BADGES

Tips for winning TD Tally

blog_tdtally

OVERVIEW

Each week we choose 20 top offensive players from the NFL. Your simple objective is to predict how many touchdowns each chosen player will score.  Finish amongst the top prognosticators (least misses) and you’ll share in the big weekly TCredits “Zackpot.” And if you’re really confident in your predictions, you can “double down” for just 5 TCredits and TRIPLE your Zackpot winnings!  Plus, you can compete for the top spots on the TD Tally Leaderboard and earn cool badges, too!  Details below.

Not sure how a player is going to perform?  You can “bench” up to five different players each week.  Just click the “Bench” button beside the player’s name.  The benefit of benching is that the player’s performance this week will not count on your record–so that’s up to five less misses on your record you can guarantee for yourself each week.  However, benching players costs TCredits.  Benching players is 100% optional.

You can enter TD Tally each week for just one TCredit.  No purchase necessary to win.  Void where prohibited.  See Official Rules for complete rules.

A TOUCHDOWN TUNE-UP

A touchdown is the biggest scoring play in the game of football. It is worth six points. A touchdown is made by running the ball over the opponents goal line into the end zone or catching a pass in the end zone. Any player who runs the ball, catches a pass or throws a pass resulting in a score will get credited with a touchdown.

TD Tally features players playing four positions:

  • Quarterback (QB)
  • Running Back (RB)
  • Wide Receiver (WR)
  • Tight End (TE)

Quarterbacks are the primary ball handlers in the game of football. They also tend to be the highest scoring players in the game. The reason for this is that they can score by passing or running the ball. Last year, one quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) averaged three touchdowns per game. Fourteen quarterbacks averaged two TDs (touchdowns) per game. The rest of the starting quarterbacks in the NFL averaged 1 to 1 1/2 TDs per game.

As the name implies, running backs (RBs) specialize in running the ball, but they can also catch passes. Last year, the top running back in the NFL averaged scoring just over one touchdown per game. Four running backs were just shy of scoring one touchdown per game while many others averaged closer to scoring one touchdown in every two games (0.5 TDs per game).

Wide receivers (WRs) primarily catch passes from the quarterback. They score touchdowns at almost the same frequency as running backs. The best receivers average close to one touchdown per game while many others, on average, score a touchdown once every two games.

Tight Ends (TEs) primarily catch passes from the quarterback. They score touchdowns the least frequently of the four offensive positions featured in TD Tally.

 STRATEGIES

The chances of a player scoring a touchdown can effected by any number of things including the strength of the offense he plays for and the prowess of the defense against whom the player is trying to score.

The top scoring team in the NFL last year averaged 4.5 touchdowns per game while twelve other teams averaged around three TDs a game. The bottom five teams in the 32 team league scored slightly under two TDs per game. Players who play for good offenses will get more opportunities to score touchdowns.

The top defenses in the NFL usually give up around an average of two TDs a game. The worst defenses give up around 3 1/2 TDs a game. If you have a player going up against a good defense, you may predict a lower TD total for him. If a player is going up against a bad defense, odds are greater that he could score a touchdown.

There are numerous other factors involved. Sometimes a player does not get as much playing time due to injury or a coach’s decision. Other times, the opposing defense may pay special attention to a certain player making it tougher for that player to score.

We will be providing links to updated stats so that you can check the offensive firepower and defensive strength of each team.

Play it safe strategy

Keep your predictions close to the player average. If a QB (quarterback) is averaging 2.9 touchdowns per game, predict three TDs. If a RB (running back) is averaging 0.7 TDs a game, predict one touchdown. This strategy is conservative and, mathematically, you are predicting the most likely result. In theory, it should also give you a good shot at winning. However, you also should keep in mind that many others will be using the same strategy and TDs are difficult to predict!

Watch the injury reports

Does a player have an injury that could affect him? If so, you may want to  turn in a lower prediction for him. This is especially true if it is a leg injury for a player who needs to run well, such as a running back or wide receiver. However, a quarterback may still be able to throw TD passes even on a bad leg!

NFL teams are required by the league to submit injury reports. Those reports can be found here:

Aggressive strategy

To win a share of the weekly Zackpot and the coveted badges that comes with it, you need to predict each total correctly. The aggressive strategy consists of making several unusual predictions out of the list of 28-32 players. If a wide receiver averages one TD a game, predict that he will score two or three this week. It may be less likely to occur, but your prediction will stand out from the pack and it could put you in a position to share a much larger slicer of the Zackpot than those playing conservatively!

Zig Zag strategy

Here is another strategy that could help your predictions win the day. As the name implies, whenever everyone else is expecting a “zig”, you predict a “zag”. For example, let’s say a running back is going against a defense that gave up several rushing TDs the prior week. If you anticipate others predicting the RB to rush for one or two TDs, you can “zag” and predict no TDs. This will be going against the grain, but there is some logic behind this strategy. It makes sense to assume that the defense will be trying extra hard after having a bad game.

Tips for winning Pick Or Punt

NFL ROOKIE TRAINING

What if I don’t know a lot about football (American football)?

Even if you are not a football expert, you should not be afraid to play Pick or Punt. For one thing, it’s a free contest with the opportunity to win shares of the Zackpot and earn some of those cool badges that are all the rave these days! In addition, a reason for the popularity of the NFL is the unpredictability of many of the games. By following a few basic guidelines, anyone can be competitive in this contest!

National Football League

The American version of football is the most popular sport in the United States. The most popular league in the U.S. is the National Football League (NFL). It is a professional league that has 32 teams play a season of 16 games. Since each team gets one week of rest called a bye week, the NFL regular season lasts 17 weeks. The Pick or Punt Contest will be asking you to predict the winning NFL teams each week.

Favorites and underdogs

A “favorite” is a team that oddsmakers have predicted to win. If a team is the favorite to win by seven points, that team will be listed at “-7” in newspapers and websites.

An “underdog” is a team that oddsmakers have predicted to lose. If a team is a seven point underdog, that team will be listed at “+7” in newspapers and websites.

Pick Or Punt does not use point spreads, but point spreads are a great way to know how strongly the experts think of a team’s chances to win. Generally, the more points a team is favored to win by, the greater the likelihood that team will win. Don’t have time to research player injuries and other information pertaining to a game? That’s fine. The point spread is usually adjusted to account for those situations. We will be providing a link to point spread information.

Comparing point spreads with the chance of winning

A general rule of thumb is for every point a team is favored by, they have a 3% better chance of winning. A “pick’ em” game, or game where neither team is favored, would have both teams at 50% likelihood of winning. A team favored by one point would have a 53% chance to win. A team favored by two has a 56% chance to win, and so on. A 10 point favorite, by this measure, has an 80% chance to win.

STRATEGIES

The goal of Pick Or Punt is to predict the winner of each NFL game each week. Below, are a few strategies for you to keep in consider using:

Conservative

A conservative approach would be to simply pick favorites since they are perceived to have a greater chance of winning. This is especially true with teams that are favored by a touchdown (seven points) or more since those teams are expected to win 70% of the time or more. Since this strategy is the most popular way to go, you may want to mix in other approaches to help your predictions rise above the crowd.

Contrarian

Reject the popular opinion! Dare to go the other direction. This strategy requires you to identify a couple games where you feel that the underdog may be getting too little respect. If a favorite has a 60% chance to win but over 80% of the crowd has predicted them to win, a play on the underdog is just what the contrarian is looking to do. A 40% chance to win can look more appealing if you believe that you are one of the few to make such a prediction!

Zig Zag

Like the contrarian strategy, here is another strategy that could help your predictions stand out from the crowd. As the name implies, whenever everyone else is expecting a “zig”, you predict a “zag”.  Look for ways to stand out from the crowd. Since home teams have an advantage, picking home underdogs would be a key component of the Zig Zag strategy. Choosing a team that is coming off a loss is another popular “zag”. Since last week’s loss is still fresh in everyone’s mind, you can take advantage of that by predicting that a recent loser will come back and try extra hard for a win!

Situational

Because this strategy requires you to look at the circumstances surrounding a game, this method may require a bit of research on your part. However, it could give you the edge you need to win a share of the Zackpot! Sometimes a favored team may overlook their opponent and be ripe for an upset. Maybe an underdog team is particularly focused in a given week to avenge an earlier loss. Another angle is to look at opposing styles– one team has the better offense while the other has the better defense. You may choose a philosophy on how you will predict some of those match-ups.

Go with the home team!

Home field advantage is nice in any sport, and in football, it can make a big difference. Home teams have won 58% of the NFL games since 1990. Fan support can vary from team to team however, and some veteran teams seem to play well on the road. So while you may want to use this strategy sparingly, keep it in mind especially if you’re looking to pick some upsets that may help your entry rise above the crowd!
