The October 19, 2018 Time Machine contest features the following question:
How many times will the word “euro” appear in World News at 3 pm CT Nov. 21st?
If you have access to an actual time machine, simply travel to November 21st and retrieve the answer. If not, here are some tips to help ascertain the correct answer:
1. Go HERE.
2. Use the “find” option on your Web browser (in Safari, it’s Command-F), enter the word “euro” and see how many times it finds the word on the page.
3. Do this daily to get an idea of how many times the word appears each day. Once you feel you know, make your entry.
Note: Any word or name that contains “euro” also counts. Examples: words like “European” or articles from the Voice Of Europe.

A: This isn’t the game Horse Shoes. To win Time Machine, you must provide the exact, right answer.

A: Your entry should be a one-, two-, or three-digit number. For example, if you think the word “euro” will appear 21 times, enter the number “21.”

A: You may enter up to one entry per day until the deadline.

A: Yes, our rules allow you to use another person’s time machine. However, you must travel to the future yourself. You cannot send someone else to the future to get the answer for you.
